If I can find Steve Johnston, we’re going to buy a box of cigar’s, lease a bus and get it to transport us to the reunion !!!

Hello All,
I just wanted to be clear about my role in the renovations at Elkin High School. Yes I did help get the process started with the support of Dr. Barry Shepherd and the Elkin City School Board. Phase I and II were completed under my supervision and I am proud of what we accomplished.
I also participated in the preliminary planning and design process for the ongoing improvements included in phase III and also for a master plan for the long term development of the Elkin High School site.
However the new Superintendent and School Board choose to not continue my contract for the construction of phase III. This work is under the supervision of Ron Mack, who is the Maintenance Director for the School District. I have no involvement in the current phase of construction. I continue to support the project as a Bucking Elk Alumni and hope that it will be a success.

Wait til you see the EHS Campus. Give Mr. Jim Shepherd credit for the dream and the patience to see it through. The school is working on Phase III which you will see in April, and the design and follow through is due to Jim.
