It takes a lot to get me out of Wrightsville Beach on a Spring weekend, but this is certainly worth it! Can’t make friday night, but we’ll be there on Saturday.

For those of you who knew Jack Jensen, the following was in today’s Greensboro newspaper:
Jack Jensen, who coached Guilford College to four national championships in two sports, died Sunday. He was 71. Jensen and his men’s golf team had returned to the Guilford campus Sunday night after the team competed in a tournament at Camp Lejeune. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The cause of death has not been released. Jensen coached the 1973 men’s basketball team to the NAIA championship. He also led the Quakers golf team to the NAIA title in 1989 and to NCAA Division III championships in 2002 and 2005. In 2009, Guilford’s main basketball floor in the Ragan-Brown Field House was renamed Jack Jensen Court.

Thanks for your note about Coach Jensen. In addition to EHS, I was fortunate enough to be coached by Coach Jensen in track and cross country at Guilford College for three years & he was certainly a major influence in my life. He will be greatly missed by many people.

My David in Grand Strand Med. Center ICU. Severe facial and chest pain..Aortic aneurysm and possible heart blockages. Can’t do heart cath till his coumadin blood is low (thick). Please be in prayer for us dear friends. My mother does not know and shouldn’t at this point..Thank you for understanding.. Love, Daphne
